Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes Damascus steel kitchen knives better than regular stainless steel knives?

A: Damascus steel knives are forged from multiple layers of steel — in this case 67 layers — which creates a blade with exceptional edge retention, superior hardness, and a naturally beautiful wave pattern. The layered construction also adds resilience, making these Damascus steel kitchen knives both a functional tool and a visual centerpiece in your kitchen.

Q: Are these knives suitable for DIY custom handle projects?

A: Absolutely! These are blank blade knives designed with DIY knife-making enthusiasts in mind. The blades come without an attached handle, giving you the freedom to fit your own custom handle material — whether wood, resin, bone, or other materials — to create a truly personalized kitchen knife.

Q: How should I care for my Damascus steel knives?

A: To preserve the edge and pattern of your Damascus steel knife set, hand wash with mild soap and dry immediately after use. Avoid soaking in water or placing in a dishwasher. Regular honing and occasional sharpening will maintain the blade's razor-sharp performance for years to come.

Q: What certifications do these knives hold?

A: These Xituo Damascus steel kitchen knives are certified to CE/EU, CIQ, EEC, LFGB, and SGS standards, ensuring they meet international safety and quality requirements. No high-concern chemicals are present in any component.
