Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does the Waterproof POE Splitter actually do?

A: This POE Splitter takes a single Power over Ethernet (PoE) network cable connection and splits it into two outputs, allowing you to connect and power two PoE-compatible devices simultaneously — such as two IP cameras or a camera and a wireless access point — from one source port.

Q: Is this POE Splitter suitable for outdoor use?

A: Yes. The splitter features a weatherproof, waterproof housing designed to withstand moisture, dust, and rain, making it well-suited for outdoor security camera installations, exterior access points, and other outdoor network applications.

Q: What PoE standard is this splitter compatible with?

A: The Qme Waterproof POE Splitter is compatible with standard IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at PoE switches, routers, and injectors. Always verify that your source device meets the power requirements of both connected devices.

Q: Do I need any tools or software to set it up?

A: No tools or configuration are needed. Simply plug the splitter into your PoE source and connect your two devices — it's a true plug-and-play accessory ready to use straight out of the box.
