Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the self-watering cotton wick cord work?

A: The self-watering wick cord uses natural capillary action — the same process plants use to draw water up through their roots. Simply place one end of the fully soaked cotton rope into a water source and the other end into your plant's soil. The rope slowly draws water from the reservoir and delivers it to the soil, beginning to drip within approximately 15 minutes. The drip rate depends on the length of rope used.

Q: What length should I cut the cotton wick rope?

A: Cut the rope to match the distance between your water source and your plant pot. Shorter lengths drip faster; longer lengths slow the release down. The 5M and 10M options give you plenty of cord to work with multiple plants or cover larger distances. Always soak the full length of rope before use for best results.

Q: Is this self-watering wick cord reusable?

A: Yes! The natural plant fiber cotton rope is durable and designed for repeated use. Rinse it clean between uses and allow it to dry fully before storing. It's an eco-friendly, sustainable alternative to plastic drip systems for keeping your potted plants watered.

Q: What types of plants is this irrigation cord best suited for?

A: This self-watering wick cord works well with a wide range of potted plants including houseplants, herbs, succulents, tropical plants, and balcony or patio planters. It's especially useful during vacations or travel when regular watering isn't possible.
