Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the fruit tree protection sticky barrier tape work against cicadas?

A: The tape's sticky adhesive surface acts as a physical barrier around the trunk or branch. When cicadas or other crawling insects attempt to climb the tree, they become trapped or deterred by the sticky surface, preventing them from reaching leaves, flowers, or fruit above.

Q: How long is one roll of this tree wrap tape, and how many trees does it cover?

A: Each roll provides 164 feet (approximately 50 meters) of tape at 2 inches wide. Depending on the trunk diameter and how many layers you apply, a single roll can protect several small-to-medium trees or a smaller number of large-diameter trunks throughout an entire season.

Q: Is this tree protection tape safe for the tree bark?

A: Yes. The paper-based tape is designed to be gentle on bark while maintaining a secure hold. It can be removed without causing significant damage to the tree's surface. Always inspect trees regularly and replace tape as needed to ensure continuous protection and healthy bark.

Q: Can this sticky barrier tape be used on plants other than fruit trees?

A: Absolutely. This versatile tape works well on ornamental trees, shrubs, garden stakes, and a wide variety of plants. Anywhere crawling insects pose a threat to your garden, this sticky wrap provides an effective, chemical-free barrier.
