Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What grits are available for this emery cloth sandpaper roll?

A: This sandpaper roll is available in 11 grit options: 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 240, 320, 400, 600, and 800 grit — covering everything from aggressive material removal with coarse grits to ultra-smooth finishing with fine grits.

Q: Can I use this emery cloth sandpaper roll on metal as well as wood?

A: Absolutely! The emery cloth backing makes this sandpaper roll excellent for both wood and metal surfaces. It's also well-suited for plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and automotive bodywork preparation and finishing.

Q: How long is each sandpaper roll, and can I cut it to size?

A: Each roll is 1 meter (approximately 39 inches) long. You can easily cut it to any length or shape using scissors or a utility knife, making it compatible with hand sanding blocks, belt sanders, and orbital sanders — or simply wrap it around a dowel or contoured surface for detail work.

Q: What makes emery cloth better than regular paper-backed sandpaper?

A: Emery cloth uses a flexible fabric backing instead of paper, making it significantly more durable, tear-resistant, and capable of conforming to curved or uneven surfaces. This makes it a preferred choice for metalworking, fine woodworking, and any task requiring repeated use or flexible application.
